“Home on the Range”

Every portrait class is different. Different fun, different people, different models. Often a group gels and together that can produce spectacular results.

Such was one of the portrait sessions earlier this year at the Ottawa School of Art. Our model was Robert, sporting a hat and rope, perched on a none too comfortable stool, but looking all the while “Home on the Range”. Many models, with good reason, will choose a more relaxing pose…especially for a 2-week “sitting”. Following the sessions, we had an exhibition of the paintings. Everyone displayed and walking past the exhibition, was to walk around the set, getting all the different perspectives.

All in all, a great experience and looking forward to many more. Roll on the Fall Term at the Ottawa School of Art!
