At the National Gallery

David was delighted to be invited to host a public portrait drawing event at the National Gallery as part of its program for this summer’s blockbuster exhibition: Gauguin: Portraits.

He was joined by 300 artists, drawing portraits and taking inspiration from Gauguin’s intense and radiant palettes.

This memorable experience took place on June 6th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the National Gallery Great Hall: https://www.gallery.ca/whats-on/calendar/creative-thursdays-portraits-inspired-by-gauguin

Gauguin said: “Without delay I began without hesitation and all of a fever.”

 – and we created some vibrant colour portraits together!
