Recently I saw something about the 60’s fashion photographer David Bailey, who, at 81 held an exhibition of paintings in London, U.K. He mentioned that he had always painted.
I guess most could say they’ve always taken photos and I’ve certainly taken lots for various reasons. I’ve never really taken care that they had any technical qualities, nor that there was a strong theme, however I’ve certainly enjoyed the process and results.
“I’m not a photographer” I actually caught myself thinking. Having heard so many folk remark to me over the years “Oh, I’m not an artist”, I just had to smile. We are all artists.
