“Hello David, I just wanted to re-iterate how amazing I think this course is. It is EXACTLY what I’m looking for! I never imaged that I could produce something sort of realistic, albeit in a more impressionist way. My husband was pleasantly SHOCKED as he walked in on our lesson today. 😊 I feel like I’m drinking through a firehose as I start this artistic journey. There’s just so much to learn and so much to experiment with. It is very helpful having this structured course and I don’t feel so overwhelmed. All that to say, many, MANY thanks!” Jackie Pothier
“David – I just wanted to say thank you once again for this course. You covered such a broad range of topics, and you shared such interesting and at the same not out of reach approaches – which is great for those of us newer to drawing and painting! So much learning in such a welcoming and encouraging environment – I really enjoyed the class.” Sandy Scott

The Voice of Colour – 5 & 6 December, 9:30am – 4:30pm
Colour really does speak to us. This two-day workshop investigates how colours work together in practice and develops some key approaches, such as demystifying colour and mixing for experienced artists and beginners alike. Instruction and coaching will include sound colour theory and a major part will be its application in practical art. For beginners, it will establish touchstone practices and accelerate artistic development. More experienced artists will come away with the confidence to develop new palettes, techniques and break rules with aplomb. Colour takes paintings to giddy heights or sends them to the depths with little in between. The consummate impressionist Claude Monet remarked: “Colour is my day-long obsession, joy and torment.” Oil, Acrylic, Watercolour and Pastel are all welcome!
