OSA Instructors’ Exhibitions

"At the end of the path" Oil on canvas, 16"x20"

As most of you know, I teach at the Ottawa School of Art (OSA), both downtown and at the Shenkman Arts Centre in Orléans. This means I get to participate in both of the annual instructors’ exhibitions.  With these two summer exhibitions plus my ongoing exhibition at the AOE Arts Council (until 23 Aug), it is a pretty busy exhibition season for me.

The folks at the OSA downtown were quite surprised when I turned up with 3 landscapes to show at this year, rather than the portrait work they have grown to expect. With over 30 of my portraits and figures already hung at the Shenkman Centre, the choice was actually rather easy.  I was  pleased when one of these paintings (the one above) was featured as part of a TV spot today on CTV Morning Live!

OK, OK, I missed it too… but you can it check out on YouTube!

Hope to see some you at the opening vernissage for the downtown show, this Thursday, 16 August from 5 to 8 p.m. Gallery details are on the OSA website: Byward Market Gallery page.

Don’t forget to check out the OSA Orléans Instructors Exhibition too!

  1. Love that landscape! Very rich, very intense, very erotic.

  2. i enjoyed the whole exibition… it’s a kind of funny feeling to “observe” your work instead of the other way round!!
