A thoroughly modern remark, as true now as it was then. Notwithstanding (and as a consequence of) the rationality surrounding us, I’d also second the words of Francis Bacon: “The job of the artist is always to deepen the mystery.”
On a final note, Renoir also said: “You have to stop work and take a stroll once in a while.” Sage advice for most endevours eh!
