Members’ Newsletter for October

The Fall workshop season is in full swing and we’re now looking forward to the final two workshops on November 3rd and 10th.

These will be the last ones held at the Rothwell United Church, as we have recently learned that the space is unavailable in 2019. The Church has entered into an agreement with another organization to rent the entire premises on Saturdays, therefore, future workshops will be held at another location – should you have any suggestions, please let us know and we will check them out!

For the short term this winter, we’ve arranged for two sets of workshops with the Ottawa School of Art at the Shenkman Centre. They will each consist of 2 Saturdays, held over consecutive weekends, one pair in February and the other in March:

W19SWS02 | IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF TOM THOMSON AND THE GROUP OF SEVEN | Saturdays: FEB 2nd and 9th, 9:30 h – 16:30 h

W19SWS05 | LIMITLESS COLOUR  |  Saturdays: MAR 2nd and 9th, 9:30 h – 16:30 h

Details are on the Ottawa School of Art website: https://artottawa.ca/orleans-campus/

In November, as usual, we’ll be hosting our annual visit to the National Gallery followed by an informal get together afterwards. The date is set for Thursday, 15 November at 5pm – more details to be announced shortly!
