Hi Break-a-Brushers!
We ran our second two-day workshop with the Ottawa School of Art at the Shenkman Centre in March. “Limitless Colour” was great fun and we’ve been delighted by how popular running these weekend workshops with the Ottawa School of Art has proven. This Spring, we’ve arranged for two more sets of two-day workshops:
P19SWS05 | VAN GOGH, GAUGUIN, AND THE POST-IMPRESSIONISTS | Saturdays: MAY 4th and 11th, 9:30 h – 16:30 h
P19SWS06 | FROM REMBRANDT TO RENOIR: PORTRAITS, CLASSICAL AND MODERN | Saturdays: JUN 1st and 15th, 9:30 h – 16:30 h
Registration is open and there are a few places still available. Booking and details are on the Ottawa School of Art website: https://artottawa.ca/orleans-campus/
We’ve now also scheduled a weekend workshop in July:
S19SWS02 | BRUSHWORKS: FOR OIL, ACRYLIC & WATERCOLOUR PAINTERS | ALL LEVELS Saturday & Sunday, JUL 20-21, 9 h 30 – 16 h 30
On the subject of workshops, we’re also planning to hold our annual 3-day workshop in beautiful Wakefield this July: “Painting the Summer Landscape: Plein air and Studio”- details to follow shortly!
Posting of the second on-line course: “Expressive Portraits with Oil ” is now complete; March also saw the launch of our 3rd on-line course: “Expressive Portraits with Watercolour”. Participants are enthusiastic about the flexibility of on-line courses, with many working at their own pace with others following the weekly posting schedule. Some are enjoying its online advantage, given that they are in far-flung locations.
We’re now planning additional on-line courses with “Drawing and Painting with Perspective” commencing 29 April and “Limitless Colour” on the 3rd of June. Both are 5-lesson courses with individual reviews and registration is just a few clicks away on the website: http://www.breakabrush.com/on-line-courses/on-line-courses-reservations-page/
David appreciates the feedback on the recent post, showing the evolution of a recent watercolour study on Yupo synthetic paper. He’s developing a collection of these studies of models at the Ottawa School of Art with the latest featured above. Plans are on the board to show these in the near future…coming soon to a new on-line gallery!
