Our Spring on-line term starts:

This week our Spring term on-line courses kick-off with an orientation video conference on Thursday, 10am (course registration at http://www.breakabrush.com/on-line-courses/on-line-courses-2020-with-individual-reviews/). We’ll be covering the weekly process, timing, options and answer questions. We’re sure some of you have questions so let us know of anything and everything you would like to cover. Participants will also be receiving a course tool kit covering everything we can think of that might be useful for communicating.

Weekly Wednesday YouTube webcast:

Our weekly broadcast will again be at 10am on Wednesday (posted online afterwards). This week, we’ll be focusing on the key to getting something to “pop!” plus some Q&A. Tune in to YouTube “David Kearn” at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7tnW-h97XkPJMRGNh5C1Bw

Arts through the lockdown:

All around us, it appears there’s an explosion of interest in art and that, of course is proof positive of the foundational role of the arts in life and humanity – optimistically, not so much art “survival” as art “thrival”. Here are a couple of wonderful  examples with Canadian connections this week:

Taking inspiration from JEH MacDonald: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/arts/article-hope-for-brighter-days-ahead-jeh-macdonalds-painting-offers-cheer/

Drawings from Louise Bourgeois: https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2020/apr/07/inside-the-healing-louise-bourgeois-exhibition-you-can-experience-online/

And this quiz, with a personal connection, caught my eye. It’s from my home town museum: https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2020/apr/09/the-great-british-art-quiz-set-by-the-holburne-museum-bath/

(I scored  “A reasonable effort – room for improvement.”!)
