Sometimes it’s tough to get creative. We may keep the wheels of our day-to-day lives in motion, however it’s another thing to start something new, let alone creatively where things don’t carry the same sense of urgency. Early in my artistic journey I became frustrated with painting. Not to the point of stopping, however my art was quietly sliding onto the back burner. Then one day an image appeared in my sketch book. I say “appeared” because that’s exactly how it felt. That day I learned a life-lesson that kept me going and found that many other creatives had had similar experiences. In this talk, I will share some insights from the creative world and my own journey.
