Interpreting the work of Tom Thomson is a perennial workshop favorite! I tackled one of his gestural oil sketches, using some practices that run through much of my approach to painting. This study is in acrylic, however I would use a similar approach in oil. In this video I lay out a foundation – I’ll finish the work in a subsequent post!
