Hi Break-a-Brushers!
November saw the completion of our last couple of workshops at “The Rothwell”. Our final event was titled “Brushless” and somehow we can’t think of a more fitting finale. A very poignant day, following an almost 6 year association and 99 workshops at this venue. Sigh….. It was great to see many of you at the subsequent National Gallery visit on the 22nd. We really enjoyed being with you and having a little time to relax afterwards at the Heart & Crown (the Earl of Sussex was booked). The Heart & Crown did a fine job welcoming an oversized crowd of hungry and thirsty artists and art enthusiasts.
Our winter programs kick-off in January with a new 2 month on-line course “Expressive Portraits with Acrylic” consisting of 8 weekly web-lessons, each a video demonstration with examples and an assignment. The course will super flexible, so that participants can follow a weekly schedule or work at their own pace, submitting for review at any time during the course, or during the two following months. There will be 2 opportunities for a one-on-one review via Skype or phone, and I will work with you to pursue your preferred style of painting. Details to be announced shortly!
Last month we announced two sets of two-day workshops with the Ottawa School of Art at the Shenkman Centre. They will each consist of 2 Saturdays, held over consecutive weekends, one pair in February and the other in March:
W19SWS02 | IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF TOM THOMSON AND THE GROUP OF SEVEN | Saturdays: FEB 2nd and 9th, 9:30 h – 16:30 h
W19SWS05 | LIMITLESS COLOUR | Saturdays: MAR 2nd and 9th, 9:30 h – 16:30 h
A summary of November postings is included below. For December, we’ve lined up a interesting posting schedule at Break-a-Brush because of course it’s always the season for drawing and painting.
A very hearty Season’s Greetings from us both!
David & France
